Legal/Illegal Contact (4-24) Illegal –Use hands, arms, hips, shoulders to force way through a screen –Hands on opponent to inhibit the freedom of movement of the opponent –Extend the arms fully or partially in a position other than vertical so that the freedom of movement is hindered (Arm Bar) –Swing arms and elbows excessively

Incidental Contact (4-26) Definition: –Mere fact that contact occurs does not constitute a foul. –10 players are moving rapidly in a limited area, some contact is certain to occur. –Opponents are in equally favorable positions to perform normal defensive or offensive movements should not be considered illegal, even though the contact may be severe.
