Guided Reading Kindergarten End of Year Benchmark- Level 3 First Grade End of Year Benchmark-Level 16 Book Shopping Once a week with “Just Right Books” Guided Reading At least 3-4 times per week in a small group Instructional Level Books go home/come back to school in zip bag every day Please use these books to have the students read out loud every night

Guided Reading Strategies Things to do at home Find a favorite spot to read Create a routine time to read (just before bed, right before dinner) Ask questions to your reader Who is the main character?
