 Please pass out any library fines at this time.  8 th Grade Aspire and PASS scores should be passed out to freshman  Seniors that did not get copies of their ACT and WorkKeys score during registration should receive those scores at this time.

 South Florence High School will host an SAT/ACT workshop directed by One-on- One on Tuesday, September 22 in room 219 from 8:30am – 3:30pm. The cost of the workshop is $55 and can be paid in the main office. However, space is limited.  FYI  Seniors: School Counselors are beginning IGPs with Seniors. They will meet with each senior to discuss post-secondary plans and graduation requirements. If one of your classmates has met with a counselor already; do not worry, they will meet with you too.  On Tuesdays, there will be a representative from Florence-Darlington Technical College to help answer questions students may have in regards to college and dual credit.

 11 th and 12 th grade students will complete the SFHS Student Information Sheet for the scholarship committee.  An envelope will be place in the teacher’s boxes with a sheet for each student and directions for the teachers.  The sheet needs to be completed during PAWS and returned to Mrs. Page.

 What is a budget? Why would the government's budget be especially important?  Do you have your own budget? Where does your money come from? How do you decide how to spend or save it?  What is a tax? Do you have to pay taxes? On what kinds of things do you pay tax?  On what kinds of things do you think the government should spend its money?  Do you think everyone should pay the same amount of taxes? Should wealthier people pay more taxes?  What kinds of things are our taxes used to pay for?
