Uses for Germanium Good Semiconductor Industries use germanium in semiconducting devices such as Diodes and Solar Batteries.

Germanium Germanium is a hard, brittle, grayish white metalloid.

Periodic Table As you can see I circled where Germanium is found on the periodic table. It is in group 14, and in period 4.
