Respect for Water

Water People always take water for granted, until we have a shortage. We have to conserve our water and use it wisely. Here are some ways to conserve and use water for other purposes.

Foot-Pedal Powered Faucet Texas uses and contaminates gallons of water a year. The foot-pedal powered faucet can help with these problem. It works like this. You press the hot or cold pedal with your foot. Then a straight jet of water will instantly come out. When you lift your foot the water instantly stops,no leaks,no reaching to turn the water off the water,no contaminated food because off germs.

Faucet Water Usage in Texas We use about 290,000,000,000 gallons of faucet water a year. A foot-pedal powered faucet saves 7,500 gallons of water a year If everyone in Texas got this water efficiency devise we would save about 208,350,000,000 gallons of water a year!

Economy The foot-pedal powered faucet cost around 150 to 200. The foot-pedal powered faucet saves you many trips to the doctor because off germs which in a family of four this device saves you money from trips to the doctor. By having more foot-pedal powered faucets we have more jobs to make and install foot-pedal powered faucets.

Dams Dams use water and provide us with electricity. Dams do not harm animals as long as the dam has a device called a fish ladder. Dams do not waste water and put it to a better use than wasting it. This operation would cost $16,150,000. This money would be raised by founders.

1 dam provides enough electricity for the city of Dallas to last a day with light for the every year. Now thats a whole lot of energy! Imagine how much electricity it would provide the state of Texas with.

Economy By making dams, you make more jobs for people. This raises more money. You also create electricity which also makes money.

Pressure pots

How it works Steam rises out of your pot and hits the catcher. The steam then turns back into water and drips back into the pot. The catcher is transparent,so you can still see inside the pot.

Acid rain Acid rain is caused by steam going up into the atmosphere and mixing with other gases. This causes many animals and plants to die.

Basic 5k (3.1 mile) Race Basic 5k race is a 3.1 mile jog that is illegible for any person. You carry a jug of water to a well that provides 12 years worth of clean water for someone in Africa. The water is transported to the people by plane. This program was made by Steve Hayes and benefits the Water is Basic organization
