 1.READING:  Ask the child to read the paragraph.  If the child is able to read the paragraph fluently, but makes one or two mistake then ask him/her to read the story.  If the child is able to read the story fluently then mark him/her on the STORY LEVEL. Even if he/she makes two or less number of mistakes.

 Mark him/her at the PARA LEVEL if he/she is unable to read the story fluently and makes more than two mistakes.  If the child makes more than 2 mistakes, but is able to read 2 out of 4 sentences correctly and fluently without any mistakes, then he/ she is at SENTENCE LEVEL.  If the child makes more than 2 mistakes and is not even able to read 2 out of the 4 given sentences fluently and correctly, then ask him/her to read the words.  If the child is able to read at least 6 words out of the 10 words correctly then mark him at WORD LEVEL.

 If the child is not able to read at least 6 words correctly then ask him/her to read the letters.  If the child is able to read at least 6 letters out of the 10 correctly then mark him/her at the LETTER LEVEL.  If the child is not able to read the least 6 letters correctly then mark him/her at BEGINNER LEVEL.

 Class 1  If the child is able to write 3 out of 5 letters correctly, he/she will be marked in the ‘CAN WRITE’ column.  Class 2  If the child is able to write 3 out of 5 three letter words correctly, he/she will be marked in the ‘CAN WRITE’ column.

 Class 3  If the child is able to write 3 out of 5 four-six letter words correctly, he/she will be marked in the ‘CAN WRITE’ column.  Note: Right form of words:  FAN  Fan  fan  Rest will be marked wrong (e.g. FAn, fAN, faN, FaN etc.)  Class 4  If the child is able to write the sentence of 4 to 5 words and makes 1 or less mistake, then he/she will be marked in the ‘CAN WRITE’ column.

 All children have to be tested for conversation.  Pattern  Two questions from limited question/answer based conversation according to the class level.  Two questions from manual weekwise conversation according to the class level.  If the child answers 3 out of 4 questions in full sentence, he/she will be marked in the column CAN DO conversation.

 The comprehension test will not be done for the year , but it is strongly recommended that all children should be able to comprehend what they read, write and speak.
