German Cancio – WP4 developments - n° 5 Work done (II) Release 1.3 – LCFGng u EDG / LCFGng almost released – delay due to critical illness in Edinburgh n Will we be on time for release 1.3? n Heavy testing is required before releasing to development testbed (end of next week!) u LCFGng backported from RH 7.1 to EDG 6.2 n Local dependencies identified & removed in LCFGng components n Most issues solved (e.g. use of different bash versions) n Work now concentrating on base installation components u Edinburgh’s DICE build environment adapted/ported to EDG n Enable usage of same buildtools at EDG and Edinburgh n Conformance with EDG build tools n Almost all EDG+Edinburgh components ported to DICE build environment

Pan can generate output compatible with experimental LCFGng client. Work on making the.def files optional is ongoing. n Integration is most likely to be labelled as ‘experimental’ (dvp testbed deployment) u The CCM/NVA API discussions tomorrow will have a significant impact on what will be done for R1.4 and 2.0 u Replacing LCFG installer with KickStart/Anaconda: See presentation by INFN tomorrow u Support for RH72: n LCFGng runs natively on RH71 n Porting will be done based on the CERN certified RH72
