Indian Tribes Involved Cherokee Choctaw Seminole Powhaten

Cherokee Northern Georgia and later North Carolina. They were very smart and They made very, very good food. Deer skins and plants that were woven into material. Breechcloths, leggings, moccasins. Women wore short skirts. Men liked to paint and tattoo their bodies. Made their own Alphabet. Played lacrosse. Had Festivals for planting and harvesting corn.

Choctaw Mississippi Valley and some parts of Alabama They were travelers and also soldiers Men wore Breechcloths, deerskin, leggings. Women wore deerskin skirts, shawl of skin and woven feathers. Women Performed the drudge work. Men were responsible for providing game and housing. They were less warlike but also defended themselves.

Seminole They settled in Florida. Some lived in towns and houses Seminoles sported ostrich feathers worn in cloth turbans, shawls, buttoned leggings and silver crescent-shaped pendants worn around their necks. They make there living in hunting, fishing, and farming. They mostly eat animals. They lost there home to the white settlers.

Powhatan They lived in the northeast, which is now part of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. They lived in villages They made their clothing from deer elk hides. They also wore breechcloths. In the villages there was 800 to 900 indians. Every 6 months they came together for powwow. They hung dream catchers.
