This spider is fairly large. The black widow spider has an hourglass marking on it’s abdomen. It is a cobweb species, this means that its web is a tangle of silk strands.

Black widow spiders prefer dark shaded areas, over the bright daylight.They can be found in basements and animal burrows.

Like many other spiders the black widow preys on insects. Its favorite being bugs and beetles. The spider eats by biting the victim and sucking out liquid content

About Us Tyler is in Grade 3. He enjoys hanging out with his friends. Brad Smith enjoys playing football in the summer time he also enjoys entering curling tournaments in the winter. Brad's favorite movie is Armageddon. And his favorite book is The Hobbit
