What is the scientific name for lady bugs?  Coleputera/Coccinellidae

What are some other names for a lady bug?  Chilocous Kuwanae  Coccinella Septemunctata  Colemegilla Maculata  Harmonia  Rudolia Cardinalis

Describe the appearance of a lady bug…  The lady bugs are usually red or orange with black markings. The color and patterns of markings for each species may very, but can aid identification. Adults are small rounded oval shaped.

What are the benefits of lady bugs?  Many crops like vegetables, grain crops, strawberries, and tree crops are benefits on lady bugs. However any crops that is attacked by aphids will benefit from these beetles or lady bugs.

Explain the life cycle of a lady bug… o Lady beetles overwinter as adults. Often along hedgerows, beneath leaf litter, under rocks and bark and in other protected places like buildings. In the spring, the adults disperse in search of prey.

What problems do lady bugs cause?  Lady bugs get in your house because they are attracted to light.
