Item Lookups All items in the TRA-SER ® database can be looked up by any of the following methods: Description Manufacturer / Catalogue Number Australian Product Number User Code

Lookup by Item Description This lookup method allows you to find items with specified words anywhere in their Descriptions. The Description search uses the Standard Description for each item and the User Description for each item, if you have entered one. This allows you to find items by any name you need.

Selected Item / Filtered List Selected Item Lists, effortlessly created by the user, can be used to hold items from several lookup lists for reference or for exporting to authorised TRASER LINK systems. Filtered Lists, once again quickly and easily created, provide the option of filtering the contents of a list according to manufacturer or commodity or both manufacturer and commodity.

Display Formats A sample of a New Display Format is shown in the next slide... The Display Format function allows the placement of columns of information in the items detail grid. The default Display Format supplied with TRASER displays all the available fields or columns. You must set up additional formats to display only the fields you require for particular uses.

Synonyms The Synonyms feature allows for similar sounding words to be linked to one another, enabling lookups and lists to cover various possible word options. For example: Inch & in; Three & 3; GPO & Powerpoint; Surge & Overvoltage The Maintain Synonyms screen contains a check box titled “All Words.” If this box is checked, all the words will display. If the box is unchecked, then only the words belonging to a Synonym Group will display. Synonym words will have an equals sign, =, in the left hand column.
