 If you were able to talk to the incoming freshman for the school year, what would you tell them about WPC 101?

 The WPC 101 class may be short in overall class length, and you may not attend it two or three time a week as you do with some of your other college classes, but nevertheless, the WPC 101 class provides access to immediately useful information that you will use throughout your college experience. Extremely important skills that you will learn in this class include how to contact advisor, and how to properly write a resume, skills that will become invaluable in your future career.

.Begin exploring majors if you are undeclared. If you have already declared your major, take some time and explore others, you never know if you will find something that you may want to double major or minor in, or even change your major altogether. .The WPC 101 major presentation assignment will help you to get a better understanding of the variety of majors offered at ASU.

 There are literally hundreds of clubs throughout ASU specializing in academic and nonacademic activities. Joining a club will allow you have access to a peer network of like minded individuals as well as potentially serving as persuasive addition to a resume if you held a high ranking position in the club. . The I week interview assignment in the WPC 101 course will help to familiarize you with some of the prominent on campus business clubs.

.It is important for all incoming freshmen to speak with there advisors regarding there class schedules. Students should also check there DARS to make sure that the classes they are taking are in line with there intended major. . In WPC 101 you are required to make an advising appointment, use this opportunity to make sure you are remaining on track with your classes.

 The overall goal of the W.P. Carey School of Business is to prepare its students for successful careers after graduation.  WPC 101 attempts to familiarize students with aspects of business through various activities designed to promote teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. All of these abilities are critical for success in the hyper competitive world of modern business.

 All incoming freshmen to the W.P. Carey School of Business should come prepared to do there best and study hard for there future successful careers in the business field.
