Super Spiders & Lizards By Gregory J Chinery
Purse spiders make tubes for webs and build them alone side trees. They mix dirt with their silk to make it look like part of the tree. Then they spend most of their life inside the tube waiting for insects to come by. In a flash the spider thrusts its fangs through the wall and pulls its victim in.
Some Tarantulas can catch small tree frogs because they have sticky pads on their feet that help them climb the tree.
To catch their prey, jumping spiders often leap more than 50 times their body length!!!!!!
The trap door spider hide in a burrow and when an insect comes by, snap!!! It thrusts out of the hole and grabs it prey.
LIZARDS
Some lizards can blend in the background to trick their enemies.
Some Lizards give off a stinky smell that makes their enemy not want to eat them.
Some lizards will bury themselves to cool off.
