Why is multiplication and division important? Basic multiplication and division facts are considered foundational for further advancement in mathematics. They form the basis for learning multi digit multiplication and division, area, fractions, percentages, volume, ratios, and decimals. Everyday life skill/students need to be able to apply their knowledge of multiplication and division facts to real life problem solving situations.

How to support your child at home? Embed math in real life situations ( grocery store, counting money, telling time, driving distances, cooking). Set REALISTIC multiplication goals. Make sure your child is memorizing their facts. Encourage children to use different strategies to solve problems. SPRINTS will be available on class website.
