The weather is rainy and wet in the Wetlands. The wetland looks like a swamp. It is green and mossy. There are plants called bulrush.

This habitat is located in southern Florida. The Everglades are the famous wetlands in Florida. They are usually by Water, sometimes salt water.

The plants are bulrush, cattails, saw grass, prickle weeds, spike rush, and water lilies and water hyacinth. The pitcher plant eats bugs.

One animal is a turtle, which is green and brown. Another animal is a frog, which is usually green. The last animal is an otter, which is brown and white. There are also fish and alligators. And African jacanas can step on leaves in the water to get food and they won’t sink. They also have a blue head.

River otters eat fish. Fish eat plankton. Alligators eat fish.

One fact we learned is that minks live in the wetlands and another fact is that cranes live in the wetlands. Also, wetlands have cat tail. Wetlands are usually warm. Lots of reptiles live there. Wetlands are wet.
