 Ability to run an embedded operating system  Has a Java Virtual Machine that can run on its architecture  Ample graphic processing ability and interface  Ample sound processing ability and interface  USB or RS232 connectivity to interface with the micro processor

 ARM Cortex-A8 Processor (600 MHz)  Capable outputting HDMI with an expansion board  Capable of stereo output with expansion board  USB interface  Runs a special JVM, not the Sun x86 JVM

 ARM Cortex-A8 Processor (600 MHz)  Capable of running open GL and outputting S- Video  Capable of stereo output  USB and RS232 interface  Runs a special JVM, not the Sun x86 JVM

 Intel® Atom processor (1.6 GHz)  Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 capable of outputting VGA or RCA  X86 architecture so many JVM’s available  Common architecture, programs will be more portable  USB interface  Capable of stereo output
