Edmodo Commenting: Browse the postings of your peers. Read the post AND open the link and READ the article. Post a comment to at least 3 topics. Your comment should show that you have read the article and reflect your understanding of it. You should have 3 sentences minimum of what you find interesting and 2 additional sentences of a question or concern you have about the topic. Your comment should not focus on the execution of the original posting—like “you need to check your spelling, etc.”

Example comment: This can be really useful to Third World countries who are in real need of this type of technologically advanced food. It is truly amazing to know how much the world is doing to help these countries in need. From this scientific development, we can try and save so many people who are starving since Vitamin A is needed greatly. It gets you to think what it will be like years from now and how much we can really do to help those people in need. There are some downsides though and you addressed my main one in your post. The harming of wild and domestic animals that may eat this rice is unknown and that is what bothers me. If this is the case, are they going to fix it so that it isn't only beneficial to humans? We need to stop thinking only about our own species and begin to look into what the possible ramifications are to these developments in our technology today.

Example Comment: I find it very strange that this is one of the things that have been researched and now I am wondering if that vaccine could be used in things other than just the potato. Now the way they can get a vaccine into a person without using a needle is helpful especially in countries that don’t have a lot of resources or doctors. Now what I have also found to be interesting is the fact that these people where able to come up with an idea for this and where able to work to it. What I want to know is if it is possible to have this work on other plants than a potato or work as other vaccines? The only thing is what will happen if there is something wrong with the potato that makes it so that we get sick from it?
