Web Page-Chapter 6 Forms

Inserting a Form  Display the Insert bar  Click the arrow to the right of the display category on the Insert bar and then point to Forms on the Insert bar pop-up menu  Click Forms and then click the Form Button

To Set the Form Properties  Double click the Form name text box in the Property inspector. Type the name of the form and then press the TAB key  Type your address in the Action box  Click the Target box arrow and select _self, and then press the TAB key  Type text/plain in the Enctype box and then press Enter

To Insert a Table into a Form  Click inside the form (the dotted red outline)  Click Insert on the menu bar and then point to Table  Click Table  Type the setting you want for the table  Summarize the table in the Summary box  Click OK  Align the table where you want it

To Format the Form  Click the rows and columns you want to align them or set a specified width  Click table and apply border color if desired

To add to the Form  Use text fields to inset name, address, state, etc.  Use check forms to allow reader to check what they want  Use radio buttons to allow reader to choose only one choice  Use text area to insert comments, etc.  Use jump menu to bring reader to an absolute link  Use button to submit and reset a form

To Validate Form  Click on Window  Click on Behaviors  In files panel, click on Behaviors drop down menu  Choose Validate Form  Validate each section if needed and choose correct radio buttons
