Angles Supplementary Complementary Vertical Adjacent

Complementary Two angles whose sum is 90. The angles can form a right angle or they can be separate. The two angles “Complement” each other. Latin completum = “completed” Right Angle Separate

Supplementary Two angles whose sum is 180. The angles can form a linear pair or they can be separate. The two angles “Supplement” each other. Latin supplere = “supply” Linear Pair Separate “Straight Angle”

Algebra and Angle Algebra can be used to find missing values and/or missing angles. Don’t forget: sometimes the value of a variable is not necessarily the same as the measure of an angle!
