The Story Behind My Name Mommy and Daddy were looking for Celtic Names for me because my Nana is from Ireland and all my cousins have Celtic Names. Mommy was away visiting a friend and on a phone call Daddy said he liked the name Kaylie, mommy thought it was a good Celtic Name but gave it an American spelling. It wasn’t until after I was born the Daddy told Mommy where he got the name, of a window on the side of an SUV! My middle name is for my great great Aunt Mae from Ireland and my great grandma Nita May.
