Important Events Korean War began. It was the 1st armed conflict SEATO is formed to stop the spread of communism in Southeast Asia. Vietnam War begins shortly after Vietnam splits, it was the US’s longest war Berlin Wall is built.

Important Events Cuban Missile Crisis, 13-day confrontation over missiles deployed in Cuba Six Day War, was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967 by Israel of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria President Nixon becomes the first US leader to visit communist China.
