What is it? How does it involve agriculture? Why do we care?

What is Chemistry?  The study of the composition of matter and the changes matter undergoes.  AKA: The study of stuff  Matter: anything that has mass and occupies space

What does it involve? It explains why there are different shampoos for dry or oily hair It’s why some foods taste bitter and others taste sweet EVERYTHING! Because all living and nonliving things are made of matter, chemistry affects all aspects of life and most natural events. It explains how fire works! It explains how a fabric can be stretchy!

Chemistry Organic Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry Biochemistry Analytical Chemistry Physical Chemistry

Chemistry in Agriculture General Topics Animal Science Plant Science Ecology/Environmental Science Soil Science Today’s Topics: Water Soil Pesticides Herbicides Organic Farming Biotechnology Nutrients for Cattle Fertilizer

Your Task:  Read the article on the topic you are assigned with the group that has been assigned.  Create a beautiful poster summarizing the article. Give at least 5 facts Include at least 1 picture or graphic  Present your findings to the class!  You have 20 minutes! Questions?
