Chance for you to learn about a campus you can’t visit & get information you cant see on the website Determine if it is a school you want to apply to Learn about scholarship opportunities Get your name on the college’s radar (demonstrated interest!) Get your questions answered

Rep Sessions | Update We have 50 (and counting) rep sessions scheduled this fall – it will be busy! – We may pull/ask you to attend a rep session, be open to hearing & learning about new colleges! – As we build your college list, you may want to shift your list after a rep session. OK to do this w/ your College Counselor Not every school travels– sign up for the NACAC College Fair & NACAC Performing Arts Fair

Rep Sessions | Expectations (see handout) Seniors will be expected to attend 5 college rep sessions as part of the first semester College Writing grade by Friday, January 8th. Seniors are expected to RSVP at least one day in advance for a visit. If you don’t RSVP, you can attend the session as space permits. Make sure to check in with the CT member to earn credit for attending the visit. Students who RSVP & do not attend will earn 2 demerits. Reminder: you can un-sign up for a visit (at least one day in advance) on Naviance. During the session, be engaged. Take notes, an active participant and prepared with questions. These are often the people who decide your fate at the school!

Rep Sessions | Logistics (see handout) Time Scheduled What you need to know/do Mon/Wed/Fri lab -315 by the bell, plan to stay both lab periods (12:15-1:07pm), if we finish early you can do HW -CT will take attendance, you do not need to check in with your lab teacher first Tues/Thurs senior lunch -Come to 315 by 1:12pm, plan to stay during lunch (until 1:35pm) -bring your lunch (something that doesn’t need to be reheated) or if you need to go to Burnside to get your lunch, please get it as quickly as possible (you can ask politely to cut the line) and come into 315 quietly. Mon-Thurs after school -We typically host visits between 4:05-4:40pm. The rep will stay to answer individual questions after 4:40pm -Office hours will run 4:40-5:10/5:30 these nights; if space during the visit you can work silently in the back Noble Triangle Off- campus visits -We host tri-campus visits w/ Noble, Golder & Rauner students. The CT can give you directions on how to get to these campuses. -Visits will start at 4:15, so you need to leave quickly after school to get there on time. Plan on staying until 5pm for these visits. Noble Network Visits -A few network events will be hosted after school. If you RSVP, your college counselor will follow up with more details on these events. In CW Class -A few colleges will come during CW class. Your College Counselor will ask before the come to determine if we will do a full class or small group visit.

Rep Sessions | Signing Up(see handout) Login to Naviance Click Colleges tab Click the blue hyperlink ‘view all upcoming college visits’ on the right-hand side Click ‘sign up’ to see comments/notes about the visit – if you decide to sign up, this is the important info to note so you are there at the right time/place Click ‘Sign me up’ if you want to RSVP IF you need to remove yourself from the list (at least 24 hours before the visit): Login to Naviance Click Colleges tab Click the blue hyperlink ‘view all upcoming college visits’ on the right-hand side Find the session you need to remove, next to the red ‘attending’ click the ‘cancel’ button Confirm you want to be removed from the list by clicking ‘Remove me from list’
