Atmospheric Basics SWBAT describe the composition of the atmosphere; compare and contrast the layers of atmosphere; identify the three methods of transferring energy throughout the atmosphere

Atmospheric Composition What gases is the atmosphere composed of? 99% nitrogen and oxygen 1% argon, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, water vapor, and other gases What are the two key gases in the atmosphere? Water vapor and carbon dioxide. These two gases affect how much energy the atmosphere absorbs.

Atmospheric Composition Ozone A gas formed by the addition of a third oxygen atom to an oxygen molecule.
