Parental Involvement According To…..

/_tech1/ htm /_tech1/ htm Giving parents lists of children orientated and interactive sites would allow parents to not only see what their children are using the Internet for but also to guide them away from inappropriate material. Because many parents are not up to date on Internet software, they should be given information on filters and other programs to make their home computers child friendly. In a technologically growing society, children cannot be shielded from using the Internet for research simply because they may stumble across something inappropriate. It is these inappropriate things they should be taught how to deal with in order to make Internet usage valuable.

Speaking of Monitoring Student activity on the internet…

THE MAIN REASON FOR CLOSE MONITORING IS…. 1. Student safety, to be certain no personal information is given out on-line. 2. Appropriate usage, to be sure students are not accessing inappropriate materials.

HOW DO WE MONITOR

By simply staying attentive to our students!!!

So, the internet is good for… Lesson Planning Student Activities Classroom Trips Parental Involvement Monitoring Information
