Columbus and what he did By: Drew Pollak, Taryn Brown, Dani Joseph and Will Marquardt

Santa Maria The Santa Maria held 52 people. That is more than the Nina and Pinta combined! The Santa Maria is 58 ft long. The Santa Maria is the biggest ship that Columbus took to sail. Columbus sailed on this ship.

Nina The Nina did not start out as the Nina, it started out as the Santa Clara but was changed to La Nina, Nina for short. The Nina weighs 101 tons and can carry 21 tons. 18 people sailed on the Nina.

Pinta The Pinta held 10 tons,18 people, weighed 60 tons, was 56 feet long and is 17.6 feet wide. The Pinta was the fastest of the three ships Columbus took to America.

What Columbus actually did Columbus did not actually prove the world was round. Educated Europeans already knew the world was round. Columbus wanted to find new routes to Asia. Columbus did try to find routes to Asia and did not succeed.

What the Europeans did The Europeans carried diseases like measles. Millions of of native Americans died by catching these diseases. The Europeans also killed some of the natives so they could build homes.

Good-Bye
