What drives the Red Cross? ■ Objective –To pursue the power of humanity by relieving the suffering of vulnerable and protecting people’s lives and dignity ■ Principles - Humanity - Priority - Voluntary Service - Impartiality - Avoiding Dual Assistance

Core Areas Disaster PreparednessDisaster Preparedness –Lifeguard training for volunteers –Mobilization of amateur radio Team –Obtain a sufficient food stock and set up of warehouse –Strengthen the training course at community level

Disaster Response –Increase the capacity of human resources in disaster recovery operations –Establish a network computerizing the disaster management –Maintain the contact with the related organizations (GO/NGOs/IO, etc)

As an auxiliary body of the government in emergency relief situation, the Red Cross is mobilizing…. –Emergency wireless network (HAM) –FA rescue team –Feeding center –Good security and rationing –Local mobile medical clinic –Psychological support
