W h a t  What was another thing Ramses III did? Ramses III was also a builder of temples and palaces. His victories are depicted on the walls on his temple.

When

How  How did Ramses III die? It is believed that he may have died due to either having his food poisoned or to a viper bite since his body does not show any physical damage which would mean a different death.

Fact # 1 Ramses the the thirds father was the previous Pharaoh Setnakhte and his mother was Queen Tiy- merenese Ramses III was the son of Sethnakht, and probably the last great pharao of the New Kingdom. After the Great Ramses II the empire collapsed and his successors, brief in their reign could not resolve the problems.

 Ramses III had two wives and several minor wives. Tiye, one of his minor wives was the cause of his destruction. She wanted to kill Ramses because she wanted her son, Prince Pentaweret, on the throne. She and her army plotted to kill Ramses III using magic wax and poison. The plot failed but not until after Ramses III was mortally wounded. They were arrested and went to trial. Ramses III died before the trial was completed.
