ANTARCTICA One of the Last Pure Places on Our Planet

ANTARCTICA – An Expedition of your lifetime! Antarctica's white wilderness captivates you as you cruise into the 7th continent. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Nature in its pristine condition overwhelms all your senses. Words fail to describe this amazing magnificent continent where time has stood still! It is an expedition of one's lifetime. The never ending glaciers are so picturesque against the azure blue skies. The icebergs are not only humongous but no two icebergs look alike. Nature is at work creating ice carvings that float in emerald green or deep blue waters. It is as if you are in a modern art gallery gazing in awe and admiring beautifully sculpted ice! So gorgeous.

This is the home of the penguins and they are ever so adorable. Never have I seen so many penguins in my life! You are up close and personal with Gentoo, Chinstrap and Adelie penguins. The chicks are everywhere running to their mothers for food and more food. We saw Leopard seals, fur seals, elephant seals, minke whales, albatros, petrels, skua etc - a feast for your senses! The unique tour was offered by Grand Circle Travel and we sailed on Corinthian II with 114 passengers. Fantastic ship for an expedition with zodiacs for our wet landings. The ship's crew and expedition team were outstanding. We were treated like royalty - they could not do enough for us. Food and service were absolutely wonderful. The expedition team provided us with a CD of pictures and Expedition Log at the end of our trip. This was a very memorable trip for me!
