Poor Lonely Norrison by Willy Schwartz

Norrison at his house
Hi, I'm Norrison, and I’m in the 3 rd grade. I am eight years old. I live in Bicira, Freedona. We live in a far galaxy called Centuria.
I love to be outside, especially during the day. Sadly, I never have anyone to play with outside.
I'm at home thinking that I really would like to be friends with this girl named Hanka. I'm really shy, and I feel she's too good for me.
I'm at school. Hanka, and I have the same class together. I heard her say that her favorite color is orange.
So when I got home, I went to the store and found orange staples which look like roses, but they grow on our planet. I bought them for Hanka. I could sit here and smell them all night long.
I took the staples to school the next day and sat them on Hanka’s desk. I was too scared to tell Hanka that I was the one who got the staples for her.
Hanka
Hanka got the staples, and she got a really big smile on her face. She was wondering who gave them to her?
Norrison
Boom! Norrison thought, “I have to alien up and tell her I got them for her!” I stand up, and I got an alien flash as I'm walking towards her, which means I'm so nervous that I start sweating.
Norrison and Hanka
I said, “Hi, Hanka. I'm Norrison. I always wanted to talk to you and be your friend, but I was scared.”
What I really wanted to say was, “I bought the orange staples for you.” Hanka just smiled and asked me, “Do you want to play at the playground after school? I said, “Yes, of course!” We have been friends ever since. My first and only best friend forever has been Hanka.
