Rationale Perception: agriculture = high risk sector Percentage contribution of agricultural lending: total lending increased only 9%-11% Low utilisation of the Agricultural Credit Facility Bridging the bankability gap

Objectives Inclusive and systemic finance along value chains Innovative finance arrangements within the oilseed sub-sector Audited pipeline of bankable farmer groups, cooperative and SMEs Knowledge and information regarding available financing options. Dialogue between financial service providers and stakeholders

Methodology Multi-stakeholder platforms: – Dialogue – Collective action Inclusive finance to business brokering: – Audit tool development – Capacity building for the demand-side – Identifying opportunities for linkages – Inclusive business partnerships
