Bring laptop & headphones next class Upload your 2 video clips to LiveText and YouDemo.org by next class YouDemo metrics: 1) Student data use & 2) Student data analysis Keep reading your Science and Instruction book – Reading check is 10-20! Pay special attention to Nature of Science (Chapter 7) and Electronic Technologies (Chapter 15); Bring questions from book to class on Keep collecting data for your science project Scientific Research Project poster (on electronic template that I will provide/LiveText) is due 10-29! Keep working on your Task 1 & 2 edTPA sections Remember that these are a part of the unit plan Practice edTPA and Unit Plan due 12-1

Teaching and Relationships Remember – When you teach: – Focus on teaching students; What are they interested in? – Teach just a few concepts per class; Specify objectives – Provide overviews/reviews for students – Find meaningful connections (real-world & personal) – Plan accommodations; Differentiate – Check & assess student learning frequently – Use multiple assessments – Inform your teaching effectiveness with student performance – Engage students to think; Question them! – Allow students to create questions & disseminate findings – Ask students to explain thinking; “How? & Why?” – Use different teaching strategies – Provide opportunity for inquiry – Encourage students to make & follow rules
