Our History Annette Kohlhagen Fleck Grew up in rural northern Illinois Spent lifetime learning how to be an involved business partner with her farm husband. Raised four children, kept farm accounts, and made difficult decisions to keep their family farm intact

Our History Ruth Fleck Hambleton Annie’s daughter University of Illinois Extension Farm Business Management and Marketing Educator Saw a need to prepare women from diverse backgrounds for the responsibility of running a farm business Founded Annie’s Project in 2000 in honor of her mother

Our Mission To empower farm women to be better business partners through networks and by managing and organizing critical information.

Our Programs Annie’s Project Workshop 6 week program focusing on 5 specific areas of risk management Farm Finance for Women 4 week finance focused workshop Farm Transition 4 week workshop focusing on relational, legal, and logistical aspects of farm transition

Participant Insights “I gained tools to help improve the management of our farm, and insight on how to communicate those resources to the other members of my farm family.” “I appreciated getting to meet others with a shared interest and being able to obtain resources that I never would have known about.”
