 Chinese/Vietnamese New Years.  Chinese/ Vietnames Mooncake festival  Christmas  Thanksgiving

 Kids and adults get money in a red envelope, $20 or more.  Then we would have a big feast. After the feast we would go outside and light fireworks.

 During mooncake season people eat mooncake.  There are 6 different type of mooncake:lotus paste, ice mooncake with green tea, Snowskin with lotus paste and rose, five kernel or five nut, taro mooncake,pineapple.

 We celebrate christmas the same ways as other people do, but the kids in my family we usally get $20 or more from every aunt and uncle plus grandparents.

 We celebrate thanksgiving and eat turkey, but there are some types of vietnamese food too

 Pho- it is a type of noodle and soup that we eat.  Banh bo loc- it is vietnamese clear shrimp and pork dumpling  Goi cuon- it is spring roll  Banh cuon- it is steam rice rolls  Banh bao- it is steam bun  Banh xeo- it is a vietnamese omelet  Bo kho-it is vietnamese beef stew  Banh tet-it is a sticky rice cake( we eat it during Chinese/Vietnamese new year)

 My Mom side of the family believes in God. They are Christians.  My Dad side of the family are Buddhists.  My dad was not allowed to marry my mom until he was a Christian.
