What, how, and why? Monthly Reports

Clarify reporting method. Overview useful reporting practices. Define the purpose of monthly reports, and how they tie into your role as a VISTA. Answer all your questions!!! Objectives

Due date and what dates to report. ▫ Due on the 5 th of every month. ▫ Reports should include everything from the previous month i.e. reporting period for September 1-30 is due on Oct. 5. Procedure ▫ Use Google Drive/sheets. ▫ Live sheets give you a lot of flexibility and reduce clutter. Two parts (quantitative and qualitative) ▫ Quantitative in red and Qualitative in green. Report basics

Each sheet has a title, instructions, and reporting month. Entries should be filled out for each month. Examples are provided to assist, and demonstrate appropriate responses for each section. Using the Report

Keep an activity journal. Update report as you work. Maintain mini weekly reports. Reporting practices

Helping create a VISTA community across Illinois Webinar Presentations

A social, religious, occupational, or other group sharing common characteristics or interests, and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists. Definition of ‘community’

Informal, but structured discussions to share resources, accomplishments, and information among fellow VISTAs. The aim is to add a layer of support and promote a statewide community for VISTAs. Introduction

Explain expectations for Webinar Presentations Identify avenues to find resources Clarify purpose of Webinar Presentations Objectives

Four VISTAs each month present using a slideshow in a webinar format. Presentations should be between 5-10 minutes. Will be about other webinars, trainings, projects, or any other information pertaining to VISTA work. Presentations should focus on important aspects, and conclude with links/information for VISTAs to follow-up Guidelines and ideas will be set by you during our first meeting Expectations
