My Career By: AJ Gray

Results 0 Taking the FOCUS-2 and MBTI tests were good to take as they provided quality information. 0 The FOCUS-2 test was slightly more interesting to me as it provided careers that may fit my interests. 0 As I took the MBTI test, it stated that I was type ESFJ.

FOCUS-2 0 As I stated earlier, this test provided careers that may fit my interests. Some careers that were listed are: an athletic coach, counselor, massage therapist, and social worker. 0 To me, this test proves to be accurate as some of these careers are careers that I have considered in the past.

FOCUS-2 0 The career that I have considered the most out of these options is being an athletic coach. Part of me has always wanted to give back to kids in a community through the sport of basketball. Using the vehicle of basketball to pull the best out of kids on and off the court is something I have not ruled out for my future. This is something I strongly consider because I feel as if I can reach a variety of kids due to the experiences I’ve had with basketball.

MBTI 0 The MBTI test was a test to see what type of personality you may have. As I was listed under the ESFJ type, the test stated that I have moderate preference of judging over perceiving. It is stated the ESFJ personalities are warm-hearted, talkative, popular, and always there to do something nice for someone. This test showed a little bit of accuracy; however, I believe the FOCUS-2 test was more accurate.

Communications 0 I mentioned earlier that I may want to be an athletic coach; however, my dream is to become a sports analyst after completing my communications major. This major can open up a lot of opportunities for me as it feels good to be in the process of getting my degree.

Four Year Plan 0 In four years I plan to complete my communications major. 0 My initial goal is to be a sports reporter or sports analyst; however, I believe that this can change due to the amount of opportunities that a communications major can open up for me. 0 I plan on taking internships in a variety of fields along the lines of communications to see what I enjoy most whether it be broadcasting, journalism, etc.

Where do I see myself in the future? 0 In the near future after graduating college I see myself trying to find a stable job that I enjoy. Hopefully trying to figure out life after college doesn’t take too long. 0 In about 10 years I see myself working a stable job that I enjoy going to everyday. My dream is to live in Los Angeles…we’ll see if that happens.
