World Compass Academy World Compass proposing a K-8 Core Knowledge School in the Castle Rock area with several Foreign Language options, mastery based learning, positive school culture and researched based, challenging curriculum.

Staff Recommendation Conditional Approval

1.By September 13, 2013, WCA shall have a minimum of 350 intent to enrolls. 2.By the end of the January Open Enrollment period, WCA will have 276 full-time equivalent students (FTE), assigned to the various grade levels proposed in the charter school application to be served the first year, as validated by the District’s open enrollment process. Conditions for WCA Contract

3.WCA shall submit to the Board, on or before February 14, 2014, a location, lease agreement, and an approved traffic plan for an appropriate charter school facility available for use on or before August 1, WCA shall present a detailed budget for fiscal year , as well as a projected budget for the fiscal years of to be approved by the District’s Chief Financial Officer on or before April 1, Conditions for WCA Contract

5.WCA will hire a school leader/principal on or before March 1, Conditions for WCA Contract
