 A “NODE” is where the plane of the moon’s orbit and the plane of the ecliptic intersect.  When the Earth, Moon and Sun lay on the same plane, this is called the Line of Nodes.EarthMoonSun  Eclipse Year  The Line of Nodes align with the Sun every days. This is called the "Eclipse Year". But, it must be a Full or New Moon when the nodes line up to have an eclipse.
