Dispersal of seeds

Is dispersal of seeds important? Yes  It continues the life cycle of the plant species so it won’t be extinct.  The more production of plants can get more oxygen from it. No  It makes the places dirty.  Hard to care for.  Very messy  Insects will be attracted.

How air is given out from the seed When o2 is given out by the plants we will breathe in it and while we give out c02 the plant will absorb it. So the cycles continues.

Is dispersal important Flowering plants reproduce themselves by producing seeds. Seeds also provide the plants with a way to spread out. This is important because if the seeds are not dispersed, many germinating seedlings will grow very close to the parent plant. This results in competition between every one of the seedlings as well as with the parent plant. The competition is for light, space, water and nutrients. All of these are important for plants to be able to grow. Seeds can be dispersed in a number of different ways. They may be carried by wind, water or animals. Some plants even shoot the seeds out explosively. Seed size is an important factor.

Ways of dispersing  Seeds hitch rides on animals, preferably winged animals such as insects, bats and birds, as they usually travel.  Some seeds have two lateral wings to help them glide. Dandelions and salsifies use umbrella-like parachutes instead.  Include travel by water and "ballistics" that fling seeds away from the plant at great speeds.  Other seeds are known as "helicopters" or "whirlybirds" because they have spinning wings.

Characteristics of dispersal
