Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, (15) from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, (16) that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, (17) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- (19) to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (20) Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (21) to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

Exceedingly Abundantly Above All

GOD’S POWER A.We serve a powerful God. B.Colossians 1:9-11 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; (11) strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

GOD’S POWER C.Ephesians 1:18-19 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, (19) and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power D.He “is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think.” Eph 3:20 E.What are some of the things our powerful God does for us?

1. ABUNDANT GRACE TO SAVE US Romans 5:20-21 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, (21) so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2. ABUNDANT PARDON TO FORGIVE US Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

3. ABUNDANT SATISFACTION TO FILL US Psalm 36:8 They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

4. ABUNDANT PEACE TO QUIETEN US Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (7) and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

5. ABUNDANT LIFE TO EQUIP US John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

6. ABUNDANT JOY TO GLADDEN US Philippians 1:25-26 (25) And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, (26) that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

7. ABUNDANT POWER TO ENERGIZE US Colossians 1:11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

8. ABUNDANT KINDNESS TO CONSOLE US Nehemiah 9:17 They refused to obey, And they were not mindful of Your wonders That You did among them. But they hardened their necks, And in their rebellion They appointed a leader To return to their bondage. But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, Abundant in kindness, And did not forsake them.

9. ABUNDANT JUSTICE TO ASSURE US Job 37:23-24 (23) As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress. (24) Therefore men fear Him; He shows no partiality to any who are wise of heart."

10. ABUNDANT REDEMPTION TO GIVE US CONFIDENCE Psalm 130:7 O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.

11. ABUNDANT LOVING KINDNESS TO DRAW US TO HIM Jonah 4:2 So he prayed to the LORD, and said, "Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.

12. ABUNDANT MERCY TO GIVE US FAVOR 1 Peter 1:3-5 (3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (4) to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, (5) who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

13. ABUNDANT ENTRANCE INTO HEAVEN TO GIVE US A HEAVENLY HOME 2 Peter 1:10-11 (10) Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; (11) for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

DO YOU HAVE GOD’S POWER? A.Do you have the abundant power of God available in your life? B.It is only available to His children. C.If you are not His child, you can be. 1.If you believe in Jesus 2.If you will repent of your sins 3.If you will confess Jesus as Lord, 4.If you will be baptized into Him for the remission of your sins. 5.If you will live faithful to death.
