SECTION 2 The State of the World when Jesus Returns hope for today CONSIDER: The return of Jesus to earth is the event to which all history moves. It provides hope for tomorrow, and reminds us that the world will end not in a nuclear or ecological disaster but with Someone’s glorious appearing. The earth will be destroyed by fire, and from its charred remains God will fashion a new one. And all of the above happens for me personally, not just the “world” in general. Above all, there will be no more death. Death itself shall die, and those who have died in Jesus will be resurrected as surely as was Jesus Himself. The tears of bereavement disappear as we greet our loved ones. DISCUSS: With what hope can we face the future? Hope for Tomorrow: THE RETURN OF JESUS

INVITATION hope for today Jesus’ death on the cross was not only for the world at large, but for me. He wants me to share eternity with Him. It must be my primary purpose to prepare for His return. Not knowing the day of His coming, we should live in readiness for this climactic event. Jesus is coming again! Don’t you want to be ready to meet Him? Hope for Tomorrow: THE RETURN OF JESUS
