Introduction Pediatricians use tools and equipment to monitor the health of infants and adolescents to help maintain a high quality life. In the future, a pediatrician’s job will change due to changes in medical tools, equipment, and medication allowing for more complete treatment of infants and adolescent patients. Pediatricians use these tools to help young patients get the help they need. For example, if your child was sick with the flu, the pediatrician would put the child on antibiotics and give the child the flu vaccination.

What Pediatricians Do A pediatrician is a child's physician who provides maintenance for the health of infants and adolescents. “Pediatricians diagnose and treat infections, injuries, genetic defects, organ diseases, dysfunction, and malignancy” says the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Tools Pediatricians Use Pediatricians use different tools and equipment everyday to maintain their patients health. “Pediatricians basically use the same equipments as any other doctor” says Carole Ann. Some tools that pediatricians use are scales, stethoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, otoscopes, thermometers, tongue depressors, and sphygmomanometers. But there are many other tools they use.

Training and Schooling Becoming a pediatrician you must go to school. “Pediatrics schooling includes 4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of medical school, and 3 additional years of pediatric training in a residency program” says Education Portal. In these 11 years of school the pediatricians will learn about cardiology, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, hematology, prenatal medicine, nephrology, and rheumatology.

Impact Pediatricians impact others by monitoring infants and adolescents health. Pediatricians also save lives of infants and adolescents. Everything from vaccinations to a broken leg, pediatricians will be there to keep their patients healthy.

Future Job Now it is time for the future job. Like I said in the beginning, the pediatricians job will improve due to changes in medical tools, equipment and medication, allowing for more complete and faster treatment of infant and adolescent patients. Pediatricians are treating the future generation of our world.

The New Name The name will stay the same, Pediatrician. The pediatricians job will be the same, but it will just involve usage of the new technology that will come out for faster and more complete treatment of their infant and adolescent patients.

New Training and Schooling The training and schooling would mostly stay the same expect for 3 more additional years learning about the new technology. It could possibly take more or less years to learn about the technology depending of the complexity of the new technology.

Technology In the future pediatricians could use 3D holographic imaging, which could used be used to see the “ins and outs” of their patients. Other technology used could be could be a body scanner that would be use to see if the patient has any viruses in them.

The Explanation The job will be changed by the new technology that will advance as time goes on. The benefits this new job has is that patients can be diagnosed and treated quicker and more efficiently. Pediatricians will continue to keep the future generations of the world healthy.
