BUY HEALTHY, BE HEALTHY! PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL

MARCH, APRIL, MAY 2015 THEME 5 FOOD PROCESSING

INTRODUCTION Taking advantage of the Easter Celebration where it’s a tradition to eat different foods, we selected one of them: “EL PANQUEMAO”. “El panquemao” is a sort of brioche which according to the tradition the children should eat in the afternoon when they are playing outdoor under the first sun rays of the Spring. They could experiment all the process, so they visited the neighborhood bakery: Where? Who? What do we need? At the end, they made their own “Panquemaos”.

WE ARE READY!

WHERE? We visited the neighborhood bakery. Where is the bread or our “Panquemao” made?

WHO MAKES THEM? THE BAKERS

IT HAPPENS MANY THINGS IN THE BAKERY! WE NEED MACHINES… THE DOUGH GROWS!

AND MORE AND MORE…

AS IF BY MAGIC!

THIS IS A “PANQUEMAO”

LET’S DO IT OURSELVES!

THEY CATCH IT WITH THEIR HANDS IN THE COOKIE JAR!

WE GET OUR “PANQUEMAOS”!

SOME WORKSHEETS ABOUT THIS TOPIC
