Materials Needed Independent reading books. Soar to Success Notebook

Revisiting Five minutes Reread previously read SOAR TO SUCCESS books. –Select a SOAR TO SUCCESS book and reread it practicing the four reading strategies we will learn today. OR Group conferences –Have a discussion concerning the books we are reading independently.

Reviewing Students discuss the four Reciprocal Teaching Reading Strategies that we will be learning today and/or we will summarize what we read the previous day.

Responding/Reflecting During this block you will either –Talk and write about how they are using the strategies. –Write and discuss something they have just read.
