Age Friendly Community Plan Update

Tasks 1.Grab a seat closest to the cluster where you have worked on a recent project. 2.Write down what organization you represented. 3.What is the magnetic attractor you addressed with that organization? (The Need or Opportunity) 4.What was the project, program or initiative you came up with? 5.Who was the Lead Partner? 6.What other groups did you work with? 7.How did you set your expectations? How were 'norms' established? 8.Briefly, what resource(s) did each group provide? What was unique to each group? Experiment 1: The Past

Tasks 1.5 minutes; pick 2 questions. 2.Draw whatever constellations are necessary. 3.List all organizations involved. 4.List resources available. 5.Pick a rep and describe your solution to the group; each in 30 seconds or less. Experiment 2: The Future

Tasks 5 minutes; in a group or separately Share your answers with the group; 30 seconds to present each answer 1.What would a Community Team/Stewardship Group look like for Golden & Area A? Draw it together. 2.How would you select a leader for each ‘group of groups’? 3.How would accountability be maintained? 4.What documents would be needed? 5.What staff support would be necessary? 6.How would your role in your last project change? 7.What could we achieve with a Community Team/Stewardship Group? Experiment 3: Secretariat Prototyping

Sometimes a lead organization in one Magnetic Attractor will be a supporting organization in another Magnetic Attractor. Sometimes you get assigned your resources. And sometimes you get to pick them. Experience makes you better at picking. Newton’s 3 rd Law: “When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction on the first body.” Harvesting: What did we learn?

Opening Questions for Your Constellation What called us together? What do we believe is possible together that was not possible alone? What do we hope to bring forth by linking with others? What is the dream goal of the group? Do we understand broadly how this group will work to fulfill the dream? Do we have a long term direction?
