What are the main properties of Trapezoids and Kites?
Midsegment Defintion: the segment connecting the midpoints of the two nonparallel sides of a trapezoid. In a triangle, the segment connects the midpoints.
4.4 The Trapezoid A quadrilateral with exactly two parallel sides. The parallel sides are called the bases and the nonparallel sides are the legs. Median.

 A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two parallel sides (called bases) and two non- parallel sides (called legs)

 …which is the isosceles trapezoid.  In the isosceles trapezoid, the leg are equal in length and the base angles are congruent.

 A line segment connecting the midpoints of the legs of a trapezoid.  The median is parallel to the bases.  Its length is the average of the two bases.
