I am going to show you a group of different landforms and waterways… Your job is to identify each of them after I give you a brief description. Ready…

WHAT IS THIS Body of water surrounded by land

CAN YOU NAME THIS??? Landform with steep sides and capped with snow.

THIS IS…. Low area of land in between mountains and hills.

And this is called… Large mass of slow moving ice across the land.

Can you name this body of water Large body of water with land on 3 sides.

What do we have here??? Smaller river flowing into a larger river

Any idea what we have here? Land with water on 3 sides

Here you go with another one Narrow body of water running over the land

Maybe you know this one Deep narrow valley with steep walls

Here is another one for you Elevated land with sloping sides and rounded tops that are smaller than mountains.

I am guessing you know what this is… Large landform with a variety of activity underneath

Keep GOING YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!! Landform with steep sides and usually flat on top.

We are getting there almost done A group of small island.

We talked about this one… This is a dried up river bed.

What do we call this landform? Broad, flat topped landform with steep sides, smaller than a plateau

What do we have here? Flat low lying land built up by soil being carried down stream.

I think this will be an easy one for you Land with water on all 4 sides.

Can you guess this one Body of water extending into the land…smaller than a gulf.

A few more to go Narrow strip of land connecting 2 larger pieces of land.
