They wear special clothing, use fuels to heat or cool their home, build homes that allow breezes to pass through, and build homes with special insulation. People living near water and harbors use natural resources to make their living. People have found ways to change the physical features of where they live to create things they need. For example, tunnels are cut through mountains to build railroads. Canals are built to make it possible for ships to go from one location to another quickly.
