INDIA LAGS BEHIND…

MODERN EDUCATION SELFISHCOLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES EDUCATION DURING COLONIAL RULE FOR CLERK POSTSSCHOOLS & COLLEGES ANCIENT EDUCATION SELFLESSGURUKULS

IN ANCIENT TIMES, EDUCATION WAS IMPARTED IN GURUKULS FOR THE EDIFICATION OF STUDENTS WHICH WAS ALSO USEFUL THE ENTIRE SOCIETY. THERETOFORE, AQUIRING EDUCATION WAS SELFLESS.

FURTHER IN THE ROW, ARRIVED THE EDUCATION FORM DURING COLONIAL RULE. BRITISH REQUIRED HIGHLY EDUCATED MEN FOR THE VACANT POSTS OF CLERKS. AN ABRUPT TURNABOUT HAS BEEN OBSERVED IN MINDSETS OF STUDENTS SINCE THEN.

EMINENT FACTORS OF CURRENT HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA THAT REQUIRES NEGOTIATION IS THAT ‘INDIA’S LARGE SIZE, POOR ECONOMIC CONDITIONS, LONG HISTORY (COLONIAL), DIVERSE CULTURE & THE COMPELLED NATIVE OF INDIAN POLITY HAS MADE INDIAN HIGHER EDUCATION A VERY COMPLEX ENTERPRISE.

FINANCIAL ISSUES LACK OF SKILL & PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE LACK OF MORAL VALUES

FINANCIAL ISSUES IN HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM COMPASSES POOR FUNDING RESOURCES FROM PUBLIC & PRIVATE SECTOR.

THIS PROBLEM OF LACK OF MONEY HAS TO BE OUTPACED BY THE GOVERNMENT AS WELL AS INSTITUTIONS & UNIVERSITIES, FOR, IT IS CAUSE OF THIS REASON THAT INDIA LAGS BEHIND IN TERMS OF SCIENTIFIC & RESEARCH EQUIPMENTS IN COLLEGE LABS & LESS COMPUTING FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED TO THE STUDENTS.

PROBLEMS POSED  LACK OF SKILLED TEACHERS ENSUES THE LACK OF SKILLED PRODUCT i.e. STUDENTS HAVE KNOWLEDGE BUT ARE DEPRIVED OF SKILL, APPLICATION & PRACTICAL QUALITY.  THIS ALSO INCLUDES TRANSITION FROM EDUCATION TO WORK. THIS ISSUE CREATES DISJUNCTION BETWEEN THEM & CALLS FOR THE PROBLEM OF SKILL SHORTAGES.

 THIS PROBLEM OF LACK OF SKILLED STUDENTS CAN BE ELIMINATED BY APPOINTMENT OF SKILLED FACULTY.  PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO THE SKILL & APPLICATION PARTS OF THE STUDENTS.

THE THIRD & MOST PARTICIPATIVE FLAW IS THE LACK OF MORAL VALUES IN STUDENTS.

1. RAGGING, THE MOST INFAMOUS GAP IN UNIVERSITIES & COLLEGES, STRAINS THE MINDS OF SKILLED & INTELLIGENT STUDENTS & FLUSTER THEM. 2. lack of feeling of nationality among students. 3. students are evasive of labour & hard work & covet money. 4. a surge in corruption signifies the feeling of greed & expediency among Indians which has to be eliminated by the college life itself.

 ALTHOUGH RAGGING HAS BEEN BANNED, BUT IT HAS NOT YET VANISHED, WHICH SHOULD BE DONE.  LESSONS SHOULD BE CONDUCTED TO DEVELOP THE FEELING OF NATIONALITY AMONG STUDENTS.  COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES & INSTITUTIONS SHOULD IMPART MORAL EDUCATION TO STUDENTS.  DEVELOP PATRIOTISM, SPURRING THEM TO BE LABORIOUS, TO ADOPT SINCERITY, & INTEGRITY.
