NEWINGTON HIGH SCHOOL Course Selection Process for Classes of 2015, 2016, & 2017

PURPOSE To provide you with sufficient information so that you and your teen can select courses which are challenging, but not overwhelming; and courses which are of interest and which help broaden one’s perspectives and skills.

SIGNIFICANT CHANGES 1.Minimum number of credits/courses students must take per year increases from 5 to 6. 2.No Basic Skills Assessment (BSA) classes 3.Beginning with the class of 2018, graduation requirements will increase from 21 credits to 25 credits
